All ORDIEANCE DESIGIATING THE MAYOR AS CIITY HEALTH OFFICER OF THE
CITY OF FAYETT'.:VILLE , ARKAYSAS , AFD FOR OTHER PI'RPOSES .
T;H::RUAS , by reason of the National emergency , the City of Fayette—
ville is without the services of a City Heddth Officer ; and
WHEREAS , numerous ordinances of the City of Fayetteville ^ro—
vide for the services of the City Health Officer and require cer—
tain actions upon his part before they can be .adequately enforced ;
and it is deemed be be unwise to change all of said ordinances since
the City of Fayetteville hopes to have the services of a regular
City Health Officer again when the emergency has passed and such
officer can be obtained;
NOW ) TJH`=LFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Fayetteville , Ar'_cansas :
SECTION I . That the Mayor of the City of Fayetteville be and
he is hereby designated as the City Health Officer of the City of
Fayetteville with all powers heretofore or hereafter granted to
such officer .
SECTION II . This ordinance shall not repeal any ordinance or
part thereof except that the Mayor shall assume all powers and
duties heretofore exercised or which may hereafter be delegated

or authorized to be performed by the City Health Officer .
S?CTION ]GEL . It appearing that many ordinances of the City
of Fryetteville are not now being properly enforced because said
City does not now have a health officer , and that the peace , health
and safety of the resirents is menaced ; an emergency is hereby de —
clared to exist and this ordinanee shall be in full force and ef—
fect from and after its passage , approval and ;publication .
