AN ORDINANCE RE— ADJUSTING THE RATES OR CHARGES FOR THE USE OF AND
THE SERVICE RENDERED BY TH: SEWAGE SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
BE; IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas :
Section 1 . That the rates or charges for the use of and
the service rendered by the Sewage System of the City of Fayette—
ville which shall be paid by each land owner whose premises are
connected with and use such system by or through any part of the
Sewage System of the City of Fayetteville , or whose premises in any
way use or are served by such system are hereby re —adjusted in accord—
ance with the following schedule :
MONTHLY RATE
Residences $x . 35 each per month
Business houses , offices and larger
users , including fraternities
and boarding houses ..70 each per month
Hotels 5 . 00 each per month
University and Veterans Hospital 10 . 00 each per month
Fayetteville p: blic schools , including
the highschool, and church property
used for religious worship , but not
including manes , parsonages and
other buildings used as residences No charge
Section 2 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and it appearing that the revenues pro—
duced by the rates in effect prior to the enactment of this ordinance
have been more than sufficient to meet the debt service and meserve
`J\ and that there is no necessity for continuing the rates heretofore
charged and it further appearing that the rates fixed in this ordi —
nance will be sufficient to meet all of the financial demands for
which said Sewer Service collections are used, an emergency is here—
by declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the ) '$� day of C.&%7pe -� 194,3.
