AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE SALARIES OF ALL POLIQE OFFICERS OF
THE CITY U FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
Whereas , increases in costs of necessities have made it necessary
to provide increases in rates of pay to the various police officers
of the City of Fayetteville .
NOW .9 THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville : IL w
SECTION I . The salaries of all grades and posit/t�ions„in the Police
Department of the City of Fayetteville are hereby increased ten percent
.powaiwasubb over the present rates of pay . Provided , however , that should
any officer be promoted or demoted , the rate of pay shall be that appli-
cable to the rank to which said officer shall be promoted or demoted ,
as the case may be .
SECTION II . All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed , and it appearing that necessary living
costs have allready advanced , the pay provided herein sha11 be computed
as of September 12 1942 , and this ordinance shall be , in full force and
effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
