AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A THIRTYAMINUTE PARKING ZONE ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF THE PUBLIC SQUARE, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIO.
LATIONS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , a temporary 30-minute parking zone has been estab-
lished on the North s1$e of the public square for a sixty-day
trial period , and after said period it has been determined that
such lffmited parking has proven very satisfactory and said zone
should be made permanent ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas :
SECTION ONE : That the parking spaces along the South curb
of Center Street along the North side of the Post office grounds
is hereby restricted to parking of vehicles for a period no long-
er than thirty minutes continuously .
SECTION TWO : Any person firm or corporation violating the
provisions of Section One of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less than
$ 1 . 004hwr more than $25 . 00 .
SECTION THREE : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewEth are hereby repealed and it appearing that the
above described restricted area is necessary for the public health ,
peace and safety anQ emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full forde and effect from and after
its passage , approval and publication .
