ORDINANCE NO .
AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO . 53 OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS , Ordinance No . ��, passed by the City Council and approved. by
the Mayor on September 29, 1938 , established Street Improvement District No . 53
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and
WHEREAS , The improvements contemplated by said improvement district have
been obtained by the ovmers of property embraced in the bounds of said improve-
ment district without the necessity of the levying of assessments or the
issuance of bonds for the payment of same , and the preliminary expenses incurred ,
in the formation of said improvement district have been paid in full , and
WHEREAS , All the ovmers of property in said district are desirous that
said improvement district be abandoned and dissolved , now, therefore ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That ordinance No . k/4� passed by the City Council and
approved by the Mayor on September 29 , 1 38 , be and hereby is repealeddandd
rescinded ; that Improvement District No . 53 of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ,
established by said ordinance , be and hereby is dissolved , and that D .Y. Thomas ,
Jack Hight , and Sam B . Wheeler , heretofore named as members of the board of
improvement of said district , be and hereby are released and discharged from
any and all further duties or liabilities in connection with the said improve-
ment district .
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage .
