AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFIARS
TO PURCHASE FIRE HOSE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS , The Board of Public Affairs of the
City of Fayetteville; Arkansas , has recommended the
purchase of 650 feet of 2j inch hose and 300 feet of
lj inch hose to comply with minimum requirements , and
WHEREAS , The Board of public Affairs has
estimated that the cost of such hose will be approx-
imately $1000 . 00 ;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE. ARKANSAS ;
Section 1 The Board of Public Affairs is
hereby authorized and instructed to advertise for
bids on the purchase of 650 feet of 24.r in ch hose
and 300 feet of 1� inch hose , and to award the purchase
contract to the lowest responsible bidder offering
i standard and acceptable hose .
Section 2 This ordinance being necessary for
1 , the preservation of the public health , peace and
safety', an emergency is hereby declared to exist , and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication.
