AN ORDINANCE EMBODYING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE IN THE INTERMEDIATE FIRE ZONE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the area enclosed within the following
described boundaries shall be included in the intermediate fire
zone . Said area is bounded as follows , to-wit :
Beginning at the intersection of the south line of West
Maple Street and the West line of the St . Louis- San
Francisco Railroad Right7of=way and running thence South-
east along the St . Louis- San Francisco Railroad right- of
way to the south line of West Lafayette Avenue ; thence
along the south line of West Lafayette Avenue to the east
line of Rollston Street ; thence south along the east line
of Rollston Street to the north line of Scott Street ;
thence east along the north line of Scott Street to the
west line of St . Charles Street ; thence north along the
west line of St . Charles Street to the north line of west
Ldayette Avenue ; thence west along the north line of west
Lafayette Avenue to the east line of Vandeventer Avenue ;
thence north along the east line of Vandeventer Avenue to
the south line of west Maple Street ; thence west along the
south line of west Maple Street to the point of beginning .
SECTION 2 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed , and it appearing that the intermedial
fire zone already includes areas adjoining the above described area
on all sides , and that it is necessary that all buildings constructed
within the above described area should comply with the requirements
of the Building Code applicable to buildings in the intermediate
fire zone , and that the public health , peace and safety of the
residents of the City of Fayetteville is in danger so long as the
above described area is not included in the intermediate fire zone ,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage , approved and
publication .
