AN ORDINANCE FILLING A VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS.
4�hereas , a vacancy has occurred on the Board of Civil Ser-
vice Commissioners of the City of Fayetteville by reason of the
expiration of the term of Hal Douglas , and
Whereas , the Civil Service Commission has been notified ih
writing to fill said vacancy and have not filled said vacancy and
the time prescribed by law has expired for the filling of said
vacancy and the City Council of said City of Fayetteville is auth-
orizOd to fill said vacancy under said cxfoumstances ;
ITOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that Hal Douglas be and he is hereby
appointed to succeed himself as a member of the Board of Civil ,
Service Gommissioners of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Passed and approved this 20th day of May, 1940 ,
