ORDINANCE NUMBER 785
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF , INTOXICATING LIQUORS AND FOR
OTHER RELATED PURPOSES .
BE IT ORDAINEDBY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARK; _ '
SECTION ONE : Any person who shall by himself or his employer, or
servant , or agent , for himself or any other person , keep or carry
abound on his person, or in any vehicle , or leave in a place for
another to secure , any intoxicating alcoholic liquor with intent to
sell the same in violation of an Ordinance or Ordinances of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , or who shall within this City in
any manner , directly or , indirectly, solicit , take or accept any
order for the purchase , sale , or shipment , or delivery of intoxicating
liquor for beverage purposes in violation of the requirements of the
Ordinance or Ordinances . of the City of Fayetteville , shall be guilty
of misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than $50 . 00 normore than

$100 . 00 for the first offense , and for the second and subsequent i
offenses he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject
to a fine of not less than "$100 . 00 nor more than $200 . 00 or
confinement in Jail from one to sixty days, or both fine and Jail
sentence at the discretion of the Court .
SECTION TWO : This Ordinance shall be cumulative to all other
Ordinances concerning or regulating the sale of intoxicating
liquors in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and in view of the
fact that " bootleggers " are . selling liquor in violation of the laws?
of said City and it being necessary for the preservation of the
peace , health, and safety of the Citizens of said City, an
emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage , approval and
publication .
