AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , " AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE

POSSESSION OF LIQUOR° .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE
ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : It shall be unlawful for any person , firm or
corporation to have in their possession any alcoholic , vinous ,
. f
mault , spiritious or fermented liquor or any compound preparation
thereof commonly called tonics , bitte s , or medicated li4uotop
the purpose of sale as a beverager�c�I E "however t a n�o 8
in this Ordinance shall be construed to mean any 3 .2 per cent
Wine or Beer as authorized under the Act of . the Extraordinary Sess -
ion of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas , 1933 , lejal -
izing the sale of Wine and Beer . .
SECTION TWO ; Any person , firm or corporation v6olatin g any part
of this Ordinance shall upon conviction thereof , be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and fined in any sum not more than One Thousand
Dollars ( $1000 .00 ) and not less than Fifty Dollars ( $50 .00 ) .
SECTION THREE : All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage , approval and publica -
tion .
