ORDI IANC d NO .
An Ordinance to be entitled , It An Ordinance electing three members
of the Board of Civil Service Commissioners of Fayetteville and designa-
ting the period for rhich they shall serve as such commissioners , all in
accordance pith Act No . 28 of the Acts of the General Asselbly of the
State of Arkansas for the year 1933 .
?ihereas the 1933 General Assembly of the State of Arkansas has by .
Act Zo . 28 created a Board of Civil Service Commissioners in Cities of
tihe first class having organized Police and Fire Departments , and
dhereas under said Act it is the duty of the City Council to elect
three members to such Board of Commissioners for the term of tryo , four and
six years , respectively .
Tnerefore , be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas :
Section One . That ;5 is hereby
elected for the term ending Aoril 1st , 19 ,��;

Section Tvo . The immediate necessity of complying ?pith the pro—
visions of the State larr in regard to the organization of the Police
and Fire Deoart.nents in cities of the first class created an e,nergency
requiring that this ordinance shall become operative immediately upon
its passage and approval .
