AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED : " AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND DEE SECTION ONE of
ORDINANCE BUMBER 734, passed and approved on the 20th, day of Apri1, 1931 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CIUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS " .
SECTION One : That Section One of , Ordinance ,x}734, passed and approved on
the 20th, day of April 1931 , be and the same is hereby amended to read as follow
A . That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, to
keep , run, giaintain or to be in any manner interested or connected with the
keeping , running, of maintdning of - any billiards , pool, or snooker table or
tables , on which the i3ames of pool , billiards or snooker are played, where the
same is carried on, permitted or operated for :hire , except that snooker
may be carried on andoperated under the auspices of any patriotic organization
chartered by authority of a special act of Cnngress of the UnitedmStates
Governement, and none other , and provided further that the proceeds from
the operation of snooker tables shall be used for Charitable and patriotic
purposes .
B . That is shall be unlawful to permit any minor under eighteeen
years of age to playor participate in any manner the above 73ames or
amusements or to loiter or be permitted upon the premises where such games
or amusements are operated .
SECTION Two : That this Ordinance shall be deemed cumulative and shall
repeal only such parts of same as may be in direct conflict herewith, and
shall be in force and effect from and after its passage .
