AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX ON THE REAL
AND PERSONAL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ,
TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST, AS SAME MATURES OF A CERTAIN
BOND ISSUE IN THE SUM OF $20000. 00 ISSUED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURO
CHASING$ DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING LANDS FOR A FLYING FIELD'.
WHEREAS . the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , by its certain Ordinance No . 723 , passed and approved on
the 7th day of April 19309 called a Special election to be held at
the usual polling places in the several wards of said City, on the ' '
20th day of May 19309 for the purpose of determining whether or not
the City of Fayetteville should issue $20000. 00 in_negotiable bonds ,
bearing interest at the rate of Six per centum per annum, payable
semi-annually , from date until paid , for the purpose of purchasing ,
developing and improving lands for a Flying Field , and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of said City , did on the 8th day of April
1930, issue a notice and proclamation for the holding of said election
for said purpose , on said 20th day of May 1930, at the usual polling
places in the several wards of said City, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No . 723 was duly published in the
Fayetteville Daily Leader on the 8th day. of April 1930., and
Whereas , said Election Notice was fuly published in said
Fayetteville Daily header , for four times , the last publication of
said notice being more than ten days before the holding of said election ,
and
WHEREAS, said Fayetteville Daily Leader is a newspaper pub-
lished in said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and having a bona fide
circulation therein , and
WHEREAS , said election was so held on said 20th day of May
1930, at the usualrVoting places in the several wards of said city, t

WHEREAS , at said election 271 votes were cast in favor
of said bond issue , and 107 votes were cast against said bond issue ,
said bond issue carried at said election, and
WHEREAS , the City Council has found and determined and
does herein find and determine that a tax levy of One Mill on the
Dollar of the real and personal taxable property in said City is both
necessary and sufficient to pay off and retire the principal and
interest of said bonds as they mature ,
NOWs THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Section One . A Tax Levy of One Mill on the Dollar is�
hereby levied on the real , and personal
taxable property within said City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , for each of the
years 1930 to 1940 , both inclusive , and
until said bonds and interest is fully paid .
Said levy to be for the sole purpose of pay-
ing the principal and interest on the bond
issue aforesaid , as they and each of them
become due and payable .
Section Two . All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed ,
and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect , from and after its passage
and approval .
