AN ORDINANCE TO BE E—NTITLED , "AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY THE ASSESS-
MENT UPON THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN PAVING IMPROVEMENT DIS -
TRICT NUMBER FORTY - THREE ( 43 ) OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS • "
WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Pav-
ing Improvement District Number Forty -Three ( 43 ) of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , organized for the purpose of grading , roll-
ing and paving the streets and parts of streets within said Paving
Improvement District Number Forty-Three ( 43 ) of the City of Fayette -
iville , Arkansas , have petitioned the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , for the construction of said improvement ,
and that the costs thereof shall be assessed upon the real property
of said District , according to the benefits to be received ; and
WHEREAS , said benefit received by each block , lot and parcel of
real property situated in said district , equals or exceeds the local
assessment ; and
'AMREAS , the estimated cost of said improvement is SIlp 900 . 00 .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That said several blocks , lots and parcels of real
property in said district , be assessed according to the assessment
list for said improvement district , as the same now remains in the
Office of the Recorder or City Clerk ; and that 7 per centiun on said
blocks , lots and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the first
Monday of November , until the whole of the said local assessment
shall be paid .
SECTION TWO : That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in con-
flict herewith , be , and the same are hereby repealed , and this Ordi -
nance shall take; effect and be in force from and after its passage ,
approval and publication .
