AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , 'SAN ORDINANCE TO LEVY THE
ISSESSUENT UPON Vi" REAL PROPERTY '.7ITHIN ALLEY IidPROVELIF'NT DIS-
TRICT NULBER FORTY ( 40 ) OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS . "
7.1HEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders
owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated
in Alley Improvement District Number Forty ( 40 ) of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , organized for the purpose of grading ,
rolling , and paving with concrete pavement tli.e alleys;: and parts
of alleys within said Alley Improvement District Number Forty ( 40 )
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , have petitioned the City
Council of said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , for .the • construe -
tion of said improvement , and that the costs thereof shall be
charged and assessed against the real property within said
District according to the benefits to be received :
':THEREAS , said benefits received by each Lot , or Block ,
or Pabeel of real property within said District equalA& or exceeds
the local assessment ; and
MMEAS , the estimated costs of said improvement is
Twenty Thousand ( }20 , 000 . 00 ) Dollars ;
THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TH'; CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That said several Lots , Blocks , and Parcels of
real property within said District be assessed according to the
assessment list for said Improvement district as the same now
rerrnins in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Fayette-
ville , Arlutnsas , and that twenty-five ( 250' ) per centum on slid
Tota , 310cks , and Parcels of real property within said District
shall be paid annually on or before the First Lionday of November
until the whole of the said local assessment shallh be paid .

SECTION TINO . That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be , and the same are , hereby repealed ,
and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage , approval , and publication .
