AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PAVING IMPROVEMENT DISTRIC12 NUMBER $9.9
D33IGNATING THE SAME IAND APPOINTING ITS 1)OARD OF IMPROVEMENT .
WHEREAS :
Persons claiming to be the owners of a majority in assessed value
of the real property located within the limits of the territory
hereinafter described have filed with the City Council of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , their petition praying that the said
City Council take all necessary steps to form an Improvement Dist
tract embracing the territory therein described for the purpose
of grading, rolling and paving a portion of South School Avenue ,
as therein set forth ; and
WHEREAS :
WM*R* -* after due notice , as required by law , the City Council of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas , has heard all parties desiring to be
heard , and has ascertained and determined that said petition is
signed by the owners of more than Seventy-Pine ( 75°x ) per cent in
assessed valuation of the real property within the territory set
forth and described in said petition--In determining such majority
the said City Council has been guided by the Certificate of the
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Washington County, Arkansas as to the .
ownership of said real property, and by the certificate of the
bounty Clerk of said County as to the assessed valuation thereof ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE :
That Were is hereby established an Improvement District
embracing the following real property, to-wito -
Beginning at the
Northeast corner of Lot One ' ( 1 ) , Block Fourteen ( 14 ) , Ferguson ' s
Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas , and running thence
West to the Northwest corner4of said Lot One ( 1 ) , Block Fourteen '
( 14 ) , Ferguson ' s Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ;
thence South to the Southwest corner of LotdTwelve ( 12 ) , Block
Fourteen, Ferguson ' s Addition, City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ;
thence in a Southeasterly direction along the line of said Block

ansas ; thence West to the East line of School Avenue ; thence in a
Southwesterly direction across School Avenue to the Northeast

City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , which is the point of beginning .

South School Avenue from the South line of Prairie Avenue to
South line of Fourth Street , which is also the South Boundary
of the City of Fayetteville , where said Fourth Street intersects
School Avenue .
Said . District shall be known as Paving Improvement
District Number Forty-two ( 42 ) of the City of Fayetteville ., rkan
sas , and J . B . Clark, E . B . Clark and L . A . Brown are hereby named
Commissioners who shall compose the Board of Improvement for
said District .
SECTION TFTO :
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage . .p
