AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , " AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY THE ASSESSMENT
UPON THE •REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,ARKANSAS . °
WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders . owning prop-
erty adjoining the locality to be affected , and situated in Seew`er Improve-
ment District Number One of the City of Fayetteville , Arkanea-s�,o'rganized for
the purpose of constructing and maintaining an adequate sewer ' system for the
benefit ofn property owners within the territory described ' in their petition
have petitioned the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , for
the construction of said improvement , and that the cost thereof shall be
charged and assessed against the real property within said District , accordin
to the benefits to be received ; and
WHEREAS , said benefit received by each lot or block or parcel of real
property situated within said Distriet , equals or exceeds the local assessment
and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost ofsaid improvement is $1009000 . 00 ;
- - NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED--BY THE- CITY COTJNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION QNE : Thats aid several lots ,blocks and parcels of real prop-
. arty withins aid District , be assessed according to the assessment list for
said Improvement District , as the same . now remains in the office of the
Recorder or City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; and that five
per centum. on said lots , blocks and parcels ' shall . be paid annually on or
before the fifteenth day of September , until the whole of the said local
assessment shall be paid .
SECTION TWO : That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
_fierewith be
, and the flame are hereby, repealed , and this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passag oapproval and publication . _
