AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , " AB ORDINANCE TO RROVIIDE THE METHOD
OF OPERATING AND MIANTAINING SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,ARKANSAS • "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONES That hereafter , and until further action of the City
Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , Sewer Improvement District
Number One of the City of rayetteville , Arkansas , shall be operated and
maintained by a Board conssiting of five qualified electors of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , to-wit : C . 17 . Appleby, J . H . McIlroy,VI . J . Lewis ,
J . Frank Moore , and B . F . Campbell .
SECTION TWO : Each member of said Board shall take the oath of
office required by paragraph twenty of article nineteen of the Constitu-
tion of the State of Arkansas , and that he will not , either directly or in-
directly,be interested in any contract made by said board , said oath to be
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION THREE Said Board shall meet within ten days from the passage
of this ordinance and organize by electiyone of their number as chairman ,
and one as secretary . The Board may also elect one of its members as :k
treasurer and d efihe his dutie((s , if it sees fit to do so .
SECTION FOUR : Said Boaroshall have full power and authority to
opeaete and maintain said Sewer plant to t he same extent that the City
Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,might do under the law . y
SECTION FIVE : That all Orders , Resmlutions , Ordinances , or parts of -
the same in conflict herwith be , and the same are ,hereby repealed , and this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage ,
approval and publication . ----
