AN ORDINM CE TO BE ENTITLED , W ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE THE METHOD IF
OF OBERATING AND MAINTAINING ' 1ATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRMET NUNBER ONE OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS . "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That hereafter , and until further action of the --City
Council of the City of Fayetteville , ArkansaslWater Improvement District
Number One of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , shall be operated and
maintained by a Board YSx2MpXzY" MAXt consisting of five qualiffied electors
of the City of fayetteville , Arkansas , to-wit : C . W . Appleby , J . H . McIlroy,
V1 . J . Lew1s , J . Frank Moore , and B . F . Campbell .
SECTION T' 10 : Each member of said Board shall take the oath mf
office required by paragraph twenty of article nineteen of the Constitu-
tion of the Stage of Arkansas , and that he will not , either directly or
indirectly ,be interested in any contract made by said board said oath to
be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION THREE : Said Board shall meet within ten days from the
one
passage of this ordinance and organizek by electingam of their number
and
as chairman , one as secretary . aeaxznRx=x*xee=,e't =z The Board may also elect
one of its members as treasurer and define his duties , if it sees fit to
do so .
SECTION FOUR : Said Board shall have full power and authority to
operate and maintain said Water Plan# to the same
extent that the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,might
do , under the law .
ZECTION FIVE : That all Orders , Resolutions , Ordinances , or parts
of the same in conflict herwith be , and thes ame are hereby repealed , and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in froce from and after its
passage , approval and publicatio
