AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A FIRE DISTRICT T7ITHIN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS , AND TO REGULATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING 'JITHIN SANE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That a Fire District is hereby established and laid off
within the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and the territory to be embraced
therein is described by metes and bounds as follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Arkansas Avenue

to the South line of ''lest LaFayette Street ; thence East along the South
line of :Jest LaFayette Street to the Northeast corner of Lot 2 , Block 6 ,
County Court Addition to the City of Fayetteville , 1�rkansas ; thence South
to the South line of Scott Street ; thence East along the South line of
Scott Street to the :"lest line of North i,lock Avenue ; thence East parallel
with the North line of Dickson Street and a distance of 318 feet North
therefrom to the West line of North College Avenue ; thence South to the
South line of West Dickson Street ; thence East along the South line of East
Dickson Street to a point which is 300 feet East of the East line of North
College avenue ; thence South parallel with the East line of North College
Avenue and a distance of 300 feet therefrom to the North line of Rock Street ;
thence V1est along the North line of nock Street to the Southwest corner of
Block 31 , Original Plat of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence North to the South-
west corner of Block 26 , Original Plat of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence hest
along the North line of West Mountain Street to the East line of North Locust
Street ; thence North along the East line of North Locust Street to the South
line of '::est Meadow Street ; thence East along the Oouth line of [Jest Meadow
Street to the East line of North Church Street ; thence North along the East
line of North Church Street to the North line of West Spring Street ; thence
West to a point which is due South of the intersection of the East line of
Arkansas Avenue with the North line of i1est Dickson Street ; thence North to
the place of beginning .

SECTION TWO : It shall herea ter be unlawful for any person , persons ,
firs} or corporation to build , construct , repair or move from one place to an -
other within the District designated in Section One of this Ordinance a struct -
ure of any kind , size or description whatever , unless the same be in accord-
ance with the Building Code which has been adopted by the City Council of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and is now in full force and effect .
SECTION THREE : Any person , persons , firm or corporation who wish
to constructs build, move or repair a building within the limits of the Fire
District as specified in Section One of this ordinance shall do the same in
strict accordance with the Building Code as adopted by the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville , hrkansas , and only in this event and a+`special
permit to build , construct , move or repair such structure has been given by
the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION FOUR : Any person , persons , firm or corporation who shall
build , construct , repair or move any building or structure of any kind in
violation of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon

. conviction thereof shall be fined in the sum of for such offence .
SECTION FIVE : A-f r twenty-four hours that any building of struct -
ure moved or erected in violation of this ordinance shall be allowed to
stand shall be and the same is hereby declared a separate offence .
SECTION SIX : That this Ordinance repeals Ordinances No . 88 , No .
249 and No . 287 , and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage , approval and publication .
