All ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF GAS -
OLIVE AND OIL FILLING STATIONS , THE GUTTING OF SIDEWALKS FOR
ENTRANCE TO FILLING STATIONS , WITHIi! THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF fAIETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
BE IT ORDAINED 3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
Section one : That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person ,
persons , firm or corporation to construct or install a gasoline
or oil station for the purpose of distributing gasoline , oils ,
water or air to the public , individuals or vehicles of the public
or individual upon the streets or alleys of the City of Fayette-
ville , Arkansas .
SECTION TWO : That it shall be unlawful for any person , firm or
corporation to supply gasoline , oil , air or tater to any person ,
persons , or to the vehicles belonging to any person or persons ,
firm or corporation , through hose or other appliance which shall
extend across the sidewalks in the public streets or allays of
the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION THREE : That no person shall be permitted to out through ,
remove or molest a City sidewalk in the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , for the purpose of making a drive or entrance to a
filling station , except upon the following conditions ;
( a ) That a permit be granted by the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , in accordance with plans submitted to
the Council convened .
( b ) That the grade of the drives when constructed shall slope
toward the center of the street and the slope shall not be greater
than one ( 1 ) inch In three ( 3 ) feet .
( c ) That no drives shall be constructed in a manger such that it
will permit water to leave the natural course on the street and
flow Spon private property .
( d ) That all walks constructed in the City of Fayetteville streets
or alleys for use as an entrance to Gasoline or oil stations shall
be constricted of Portland Cement Coneres. e of riot less than six ( G )
inches in thickness , and shall be corrul. ,ated parallel with the
street ; said corrugations shall not be more than five ( 5 ) inches
apart or less than one - fourth of an inc: : in depth .
SECTION FOUR : That any violation of Section One of th&s Ordinance
shall be uunishable by a fine of not less than tlO . CO or more than
,K15 . 00 and t :at each day that Section One of th®s Ordinance is
violated shall bonstitute a seperate offense .
SECTION FIVE : That any violation of Sections Two and Three of
this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not less then
•`10 . 00 or more than $15 . 00 .
SECTION SIX : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication .
