AN ORDINANCE LP_YING OFF CERTAIN TERRITORY :: ITHIN THE CORPORATE LIHITS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :, INTO AN ITaROVEF1dFNT DISTRICT
FOR THE PURPOSE OF IIPROVING LEVERETT AVENUE FROM THE SLDUTH LINE OF
DOUGLAS$ STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF NORTH STREET , DESIGNATING THE NUI%T-
BER OF THE DISTRICT , DEF:IBIITIG THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF and NAMING THE SAmE . .
WHEREAS , at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , held on the day of to
1924 , a petition , signed by
ten owners of real property within the District herein after described
in Section One of this Ordinance , was presented to said Council asking
that it take steps towards the making of an improvement 5onsisting of
grading , rolling , and paving with concrete pavement the following streets -
and parts of streets as may be more fully determined by the Board of Im-
provement of said District , to—wit : —
Leverett Avenue from the South line of Douglas $ Street to the north
line of North Street .
WHEREAS , in said petition it was further prayed that the Coucil lay
off a stipulated portion of real estate into an Improvement District for
making said improvements ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That the following lots , blocks , streets , alleys and
parcels of real estate in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , be , and the
same are hereby , laid off and declared to be an Improvement District
r within the said City , to wit :

the South line of Douglas Street and running thence East 185 feet ;
thence North to the Southeast corner of Lot 13a , Archias & Bushnell ' s

South line of Taylor Street ; thence in a Northeasterly direction across
Taylor Street to the Southeast corner of Lot Twenty- seven ( 27 ) 1; Archias

designated as North Leverett Avenue Improvement District Number One of
the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .,
SECTION THREE ; That said District is laid off for the purpose of
grading , rolling , and paving with , concrete patvement thw trreeets and
parts of streets as may be more fully determined hereafter by the Board
of Improvement of said Improvement District .
SECTION FOUR : That this ordinance be in force and effect from and
after its passage , approval and publication and all ordinances and parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith be , and the same are hereby , repealed .
