AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , INTO AN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR
THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING WEST MEADOW STREET FROM THE WEST LINE OF NORTH
BLOCK AVENUE TO THE EAST LINE OF NORTH WEST AVENUE NORTH LOCUST AVENUE
FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF WEST SPRINT, STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF WEST CENTER
STREET] AITD NORTH CHURCH AVENUE .,FROM THE SOpTH LINE OF WEST SPRING STREET
TO THE NORTH LINE OF WEST CENTER STREET , DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF THE
DISTRICT , DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF , AND NAMING THE SAME .
WHEREAS , at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas, held on the /,7* day of " , 1924 , a Petition signed by ten
owners of real property within the District hereinafter described in
Section One of this Ordinance , was presented to said Council , asking that
it take steps toward the making of an improvement , consisting of grading,
rolling and paving with Asphaltic Pavement the following Streets and »arts
of Streets , as may be more fully determined by the Board of Improvement of
said District , to -wit :
West Meadow Street , from the West line of North Block Avenue to the
East line of North West Avenue; North Locust Avenue , from the South line
of West Spring Street to the North line of West Center street ; and North
Church Avenue , from the South line of West Spring street to the North line
of West Center Streete
WHEREAS , in said Petition it was further prayed that the Council lay
off a stipulated portion of real estate into an Improvement District , for
>paking said improvement :
NOW , THEREFORE ,- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS .
SECTION ONE : That the following Lots , Blocks , Streets , Alleys and
Parcels of Real Estate in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, be , and the
same are hereby laid off and declared to be an Improvement District within
the said City, to-wit :
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Four ( 4 ) , Block Twelve ( 12 ) ,
Original Play of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, and running thence

West to the East line of Lot Eight ( 8 ) in said Bl6ck Twelve ( 12 ) of the
Original Plat of the City of Ft,� etteville, Arkansas ; thence North to the
South line of West Spring Street ; thence West along the South line of West
Spring Street to the Northwest corner of Lot Two ( 2 ) . subdivision of Block
Ten ( 10 ) , Original Plat of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence
South ' 147 . 5/10 feet ; thence West to tae . East line of North School Avenue ;
thence in a westerly direction, across North School Avenue , to the Northeast
corner of Lot Eight A ( 8a ) , sub-division of Block Nine ( 9 ) , Original Plat
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ; thence West to the East line of
North West Avenue ; thence South to the North line of West Meadow Street ;
thence in a Southerly direction , across West Meadow Street , to the Northwest
corner of Block Twenty ( 20 ) , Original Plat of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas ; thence South 159- 5/10 feet ; thence East to the West line of North
School Avenue ; thence in an Easterly direction,, acrose North School Avenue
to the Southwest corner of Lot Two ( 2 ) , Block Nineteen ( 19 ) of the Original
Plat of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence East to the West line of
Lot One A ( la ) of Block Nineteen ( 19 ) of the Original Plat of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas ; thence South to the North line of West Center Street ;
thence East along the North line of West Center Street , to the Southeast
corner of Lot Seven ( 7 ) , Block Seventeen ( 17 ) of the Original Plat of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence North to the Southeast corner of
Lot Ten ( 10 ) , Block Seventeen ( 17 ) of the Original Plat of the Uity of
Fayetteville , Arkansas ; thence in an Easterly direction , acrose the alley,
to the Southwest corner of Lot Three ( 3 ) , Block Seventeen ( 17 ) , Original
Plat of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ; thence East to the West line
of North Block Avenue ; thence North along the West line of North Block
Avenue , to the Northeast corner of Lot Four ( 4 ) , Block Twelve ( 12 ) , Original
Plat of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas , which is the place of beginning- -
said description of the boundaries of the District embracing the following
lots and parts of lots , according to the Sewer Map of the said City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , as compiled by Burns & McDonnell , the frontage of
which Lots are tested by actual measurement , to-wit :

SECTION TWO : That the said District shall hereafter be known and
designated as West Meadow Street Improvement 1District Number One of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION THREE: Th4t said District is laid off for the purpose of
grading, rolling and paving with Asphaltic Pavement , the said Streets
and parts of Streets, as may be more fully determined hereafter by the
Board of Improvement of said Improvement District .

SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance be in force and effect from and
after its passage , approval and publication ; and all Ordinances and parte
of Ordinances in conflict herewith , be, and the same are hereby repealed .
