AND ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , AAN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO MONT NORD IMPROVEMENT DISTFTCT NUMBER ONE OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE ,ARKANSAS ,A_ND TO BE KNOWN AS ANNEX NUMBER ' ONE TO MONT NORD
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,ARKANSAS . ^
WHEREAS, the majority in value of the owners of real property on
East Maple Street , from the West 'Line• of North . College Avenue to the West
Line of MissionAvenue, and Olive Avenue, from the North Line of Maple
Street to the South Line of Gunter Street, have petitioned the City Coun-
oil of the City of Fayetteville , Arkaneas , to annex the same to Mont Nord
Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, amd
due notice has been given of the filing of said Petition ; and that the
same would be heard on the 25th day of June , 1923 ;
WHEREAS , on said 25th day of June , 1923, the time fixed in said
notice for the hearing of said Petition , to determine Whether those
signing the same constituted a majority in value of the owners of real
- property sought to be annexed , it was decided by the City Council of
__- -._.said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, to conti-nue said hearing until July
2, 1923 ; and
WHEREAS, on sai'd' July 2, 1923 , after hearing all persons who de-
sired to be heard, as to whethers said Petition contained the signatures
of such majority, the City Council of .the City +of *ayetteville , Arkansas ,
did ascertain and declare that said Petition did contain the signatures
of a majority of the owners of said real property within said territory,
according to the . last preceding assessment for State and County taxes in
said territory, and as shown by the records of deeds and by actual owner-
ship ; and that said Petition is in due form, and as required by law;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION ONE That the hereinbefore described real property, East

ville , Arkansas , to be known as Annex Number One to Mont Nord Improvement
District Number One of the City of Payetteville , Arkaneae .
SECTION Ti70 ; _ That all Ordinances and parte of Ordinances in con-
flict herewith be, and the same a are hereby, repealed , and this Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage , approval
and publication. , ,
