Sec. 1 . The position of Street Commissioner for the City of
Fayetteville , Arlcc,nsas is hereby created.
Sec . 2e That it shall be the duty of the City Jouncil of said
City to select by resolution some suitable person to be known and
designated as Street Commissioner, and to fix his compensation. That
said Street Commissioner when so elected shall hold sail position
subjectto the orders of said City Council and until his successor is
elected in the same manner.
Sec . 3 . That it shall be the duty of the Street Commissioner
to furnish ono team, wagon, and harness , and to use or cause the same.
to be used, the entire working time on slid streets and not less than
54 hours per week, unless the weir conditions are such that lie cannot
safely work. Said commissioner shall put in his entire tim at working
the streets , alleys , and driveways in said City and shall keep the
same in repair and passable ; rand to work such streets or places as may
be directed from time to time by said Council .
Sec . 4 . Until otherwise ordered by Ordinance or resolution, the
salary of said Com nissioner •shall be the sum of ;'x125 . 00 per month and
shall be payment in full for the services of said Commissioner and for
the use of his team, wagon, and 'harness .
Sec . 5 . That this Ordinance shall repeal all ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith and shall be in force and take effect
from and after its passage and publication .
