AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , "AN ORDINANCE TO^ LEVY"THE ASSESSMENT UPON
THE REAL PROPERTY'-'LOCATED WITHIN MONT NORD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1TVMBER ONE
OF THE. CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS . "
WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property -holders owning prop-
erty adjoining the focality to be affected , and situated, in Mont Nord Im-
provement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , or-
ganized for the purpose of grading , rolling and paving with Asphaltic
Pavement the streets and parts of streets within said Mont Nord Improve -
ment District Number One of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , have
petitioned the Council of the City of Fayetteville , 'Arkansas , for the con-
struction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed
upon the real property-of said district , according to benefits received ;
WHEREAS , said benefits received by each block , lot and parcel of real
property situated in said district , equals or exceeds the local assess-
ment thereon ; and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of said improvement is 019 , 814 . 00 ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or' THE CITY" 02
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That said several blocks , lots and parcels of real prop-
erty • in said district , be asseesed according to the assessment list , for
said Improvement District , as the same now remains in the office of the
Recorder or City Clerk; and that said assessment shall be paid annually on
or before the lot Monday in Obtober , until the whole o�- the said local as.
shall be paid . And , 4� per centum on each of said blocks, lots
and parcels of land shall be paid in 1923 ; 8 per centum on each of said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1924 ; 9J per centum on each of said
blocks; "lots' and parcels Of land 1n 1925 ; 10} per centum on each of said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1926 ;. 11+ per centum on each of said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1927 ; 11 * per centum on each of said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1928 ; 11 per centum on each of 'said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1929 ; 12 per centum on each of said

blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1930 ; 12 per centum on each of said
blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1931 ; and 10 per centum on each of
said blocks , lots and parcels of land in 1932 .
SECTION TWO : And , said local assessment of benefits shall , and is
hereby declared a charge and a lien against all the property -in said Dis-
trict from the date of this 01rdinance , and shall be entitled to the pre-
ference set forth in Section 5667 of Crawford W,;Moses ' Digest , and said
lien shall continue until such local assessments with any penalty -and
costs that may accrue thereon shall be paid .
SECTION THREE:. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in con-
flict be , and the same are hereby , repealed , and this 0rrdinance shall be
in , force and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication *
passed and approved this 23d day of March , 1923 .
