BE IT ORDAINCD BY THE CI71 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. FAYETTEVILLE, ARP,ANSAS :
Section 1. It shall h _treafter be deemed a• violation of this Ordinance for any
person or persons to drive or otherwise move any::vehicle , building, roller or
other object Df nhatsoeper: kind; the gross : weight of which -is more than five (5) .
tons, over or across. 'any asphalt pavement within the .co_*porate . limits . of the City .
of Faybtteville.,. Arkansas, . without •first having -obtained !from the Mayor and City
Engire er . a written peimit do . to do .' The Mayor and City Ehgin;ershall not issue '
any such perddt when; in 'theibr -judgment, the objeft sought to be moved across the
pavement will result in damage to the same . .
Section 2 . Before granting any such -permit, the Mayor and City Engineer may
req xe at either a cash deposit or a good and collectible bond be made ,
conditioned upon the repair of any possible injury to the oavement without
expense to either the City of Fayetteville or any Improvement District, the
terms and conditions of such cash deposit or bond, together with the amount
of the sane be . fully set forth in each separate permit.
Section 9. It shall ba a violation of this Ordinance for any person or persons
to drive —any vehicle or object of any kind with cleated wheels or treads , or
bith a rough. -bearing surface , over any asphalt pavement. . It shall likewise be
a violation of this Ordinance for any person or persons to drive any motor truck
with . wood or mud chains over any asphalt pavement.
Section 4. No person or persons shall drive or move any ,vehicie or object of '
whatsoevor kind which ' has tires or supports less . than three ( 3) inches in width
and with a gross vAight of more than twelve hundred (1200) pounds per wheel,
upon any asphalt pavement.
Section 5. It shall be deemed a violation of V-d s Ordinance for any person or
persons o drag any sled, bob-sled, or other like object across any asphalt
pavement until w ritten pszmission from the lrayror and City Fnginser has been obtained.
Section 6. Any person or persons violation any of the provisions of thss ordinance
ssriaT -W-demed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof in the Police
Court shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty-five Dollars nor more than
One Thousand (1 ,006. 00 Dollars for each offense .
Section 7 . That this Ordinance be in force and effect from and after its passage
approval and publication and ' all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith,
be and . the same are hereby repealed.
