AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , "AIS' ORDINANCE TO LEVY ASSESSL.Ei4T UPON THE
REAL PROPERTY - LOCATED IVITHIN , AMM NUMBER ONE TO EAST STREET IMPROVE,_ENT
DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKAPtSAS . "
WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders owning prop-
erty adjoining the locality to be affected , and situated in Annex Dumber
One to East Street Improvement District iiumber One of Fayetteville , Ark-
ansas , organi ? ed for the purpose of paving with Asphalt Macadam, the Streets
and parts of Streets within said Annex number One to East Street Improve-
ment District iiumber One , have petitioned the Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , for the construction of said improvement , and
that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said
district , according to benefits received ; and
%)HEREAS , said benefits received by each block , lot and parcel of
real property situated in said district , equals or exceeds the local
assessment thereon ; and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of said improvement is Z ��i ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE ' IT ORDAI1iED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Ok THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That said several blocks , lots and parcels of real prop -
erty - in said district , be assessed according to the assessment list , for
said Improvement District , as the same now remains in the office of the
Recorder or City Clerk ; and that 10 per centum on each of said blocks ,
lots and parcels , shall be paid annually on or before the first ionday
of October , until the whole of the said local assessment shall be paid .
SECTION TV70 : That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in con-
flict , be , and the same are hereby , repealed , and this Ordinance shall
be in force and effect , from and after its passage , approval and pub-
licatioh .
