AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED , " ADT ORDINANCE TO LEVY THE ASSESSII2:1 UPON
THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN , AND BEING A PART OF , EAST STREET ' ILL
PROVEIEEYT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLF , ARKALSAS . "
WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders owning prop-
• erty adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in East Street
Improvement District Number One of Fayetteville , Arkansas , organized for
the purpose of grading , rolling and macadamizing ( using asphalt binder )
the streets and parts of streets within said East Street Improvement
District Number One , have petitioned the Council of the City of Fayette-
ville , Arkansas , for the construction of said improvement , and that the
cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said district
according to benefits received ; and
V/HEREAS , said benefits received by each block , lot and parcel of
real property situated in said district , equals or exceeds the local
assessment thereon ; and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of said improvement is 013 , 773 . 57 ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILT,E , ARKANSAS :
SECTION ONE : That said several blocks , lots and parcels of real
property in said district , be assessed according to the assessment list ,
for said Improvement District , as the same now remains in the office of
the Recorder or City Clerk ; and that 10 per centum on each of said blocks ,
lots and parcels , shall be paid annually on or before the first taonday
of October ntil he whole of the said local assessment shall be paid .
SECTION That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in con-
flict^ be , and the same are hereby , repealed , and this Ordinance shall
be in force and effect , from and after its passage , approval and pub-
lication .
