BE IT ORDAI PED BY THS CITY COUNCIL OF FAYMTWILLE, ARKANSAS :
Sec . le That hereafter all persons , firms , or corporations making- con-
nections with water, sewer, or gas mains in the City of Fayetteville , Ark.
shall be required to use extra heavy, rust-pvoof pipe or such other standard
pipes as shall be approved by the Superintendent of the lister l.orics in said
City of Yayetteville .
Sec . 2 . That all service connections shall be made in strict accordance
with plans and specifications and on the grade provided and endorsed by the
City Engineer of said City of Fayetteville , Ark.
Sec . 3. That hereafter all water, sewer, and gas mains and service
pipes in said ^,ity of Fayetteville shall be placed so as not to interfere
with the pavement of any of the streets of said City of Fayetteville and the
laying and. placine of said mains sewer and gas pip-as shall be under the
direction of the City EnCineer of said City of Fayetteville .
Sea . 4. . That hereafter all persons , firm, or corporations owning any
property on any street in said City of Fayetteville , which is about to be
paved, or otherwise permanently improved, shall be required before said street
is paved, or otherwise permanently improved, to make connection with the
water, senor, or gas mains , and to lay a service pipe for said purpose and
to use only extra heavy rush proof pipe or such other standard pipe as shall
be approved by the Superintendent of the �,ater forks of said City of
Fayetteville , Ark. , and at a depth and on a grade to us designated by the
City Engineer of the City of Fayetteville .
Sec . 5 . +.hen any street in said City of Fayetteville is about to be
paved . or otherwise permanently improved, the i.Sayor of the said City of
Fayetteville shall cause to be published in a daily newspaper in the City
of Fayetteville, Ark . , a notice to all persons, firws ,. or corporations ,
ovninZ- any property on said streets or street to lcy their service pipes
and to make their connections with the water, sewer, or gas mains within
twenty days after the date of the publication of said service pipe and make
such connections within twenty days from the date of said publication of said
notice .
Sec. b. If any person, firm, or corporation shall fail to so lay any
service pipe , or make connections as herein provided , within the time
required in the notice published by the Mryor, as herein provided, ' such
person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed I*uilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed
the sum of Twenty-five Dollars , and each day that any such person, firm, or
corporation shall so fail to so lay such service pipe or make such connection
shall be deemed a senc_rate offense and shall be punishable in the manner
above provided .
