AN ORDINANCE TO Hi ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TH^ CONSTRUCTION
AIM MAINTENANCE OF A7�NINCS ON T.Y', PUBLIC SQUARE AND ADJACENT FLOCKS , AND
ON DI:IKSON STREET. IN FAYETT ?VILIE, ARKAN^AS . +1
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE' CITY COUNCIL OF FAY?TTWIL(,E, ARKANSAS :
Sec . 1 . That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation to build, construct, or maintain any awning, porch, or shed of
arV kind or nature in front of any building fronting, on Center Street,
between College Avenue and Church Street, on Mountain Street between College
Avenue and Church Street, on 'cast Street between Meadow Street and Mountain
Street, on Block Street between Meadow Street and Mountain Street, and on,
Dickson Street between Arkansas Avenue and Block Street, which awnings , shed,
or, porch shall extend over any part of the sidewalk on such streets , without
first having submitted to the City Council of. Fayetteville , Arkansas , plans
and specifications for such awnings , shed, or porch, and having; obtained from
said City Council a written permit to so construct or maintain any such awning ,
porch, or shed.
Sec. 2 . Any person, firm, or corporation violating* any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be deemed Eui.lty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereoi shall be fined in any sum not less than Ten Dollars , nor more than
Twenty five Dollars for each offense , and each day of such violation shall
constitute a separate offense *
Sec . 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herevcith
shall be and the same are hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall be in
force and effect from and after its passage , approval , and publication.
