Sec . 1. That at the regular general election tobe ' held in the City of
Fayetteville , Ark. on the 2nd day of April 1018, there be submitted to the
qualified electors of said City of Fayetteville , Ark. , towit :
The north half of the southwest quarter and the southeast quarter of
Section 10, the east half of section 15, the north half of ' the nor !.hBrest
quarter of section 22 , the north6ast quarter of the northeast quarter, the
west half of the northeast quarter, the noriht:est quarter of the southeast
quarter, the northT:est quarter, the north half of the southwest quarter of
pt of section 9, all in township 16 , north, range 30 west of the fifth
principal meridian, in YPashington County, Arkansas.
Sec . 2 . That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas be
and he is hereby requested to see that the Election Commissioners of
Washington County, Arkansas have pinced on the ticket to be voted on at
thenext General Election to be held in said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas
on -the 2nd day of April 1918, - the corks "For Annexation" and "Against
Annexation" .
Sec . 3• That if it shall appear when the returns of said election are
duly made that a majority of the qualified electors ,votine in said General
Election so held in said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, on the 2nd dya of
April, 1918 , have voted For Annexation than in the event the City Clerk of
said City of Fayetteville, Ark. , is hereby requested to prepare' a certified
copy of the record pertaining to said question of Annexation and to furnish
same promptly to the City Attorney of the : said:, City of Fayetteville , Ark.
Sec. ' 4. That as soon as said City Clerk of' said City of Fayetteville ..
Arkansas , has so furnished said Certified ` Copy of said Record to the sadd
City Attorney of 'the said City of Fayetteville, Ark. , said City Attorney
of said City of Fayetteville , A.rk. , beg and he is hereby requested to pre- ;
pare in the manner and form now provided by law a petition to the 3ounty
Court of :.ashington County, Arkansas , asking that said Gout make an order
to the effect thatzthe territory described in Sec. 1 of this Ordinance be
annexed to, and become a part of the City of Fayetteville, Ark.
Sec . 5. That this Ordinance be published in the Fayetteville Democrat,
a Daily paper of bona fide circulationedited and published in the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas for the period of m6ib than one month prior to the ,
time of holding said General Election in said City of Fayetteville, Ark. on the

s Sec . 6 . That proof of publication of said Ordinance be required to be
duly made and filed with the City Clerk of said City of Fayetteville , Ark.
Sec . 7 . That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here.
with be and the same are hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall take
$ffect and be in force from and after its passage , approval, and publication.
