AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT TIE BUYING OF PO3LTRY AND Ts IS FROM MITIORS .
BB IT OR.DAITTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FAYEMVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Sec . 1. That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation enCafed in the buying and selling of poultry and eggs, acting
either as principal or agent to purchase any poultry or eggs of any nature
or description i+hatsoever from any minor under the age of twenty one years ,
without first having reported such proposed purchase to the Chief of Police
of the City ofr'ayetteville, Arkansas. Provided further that it shall be
the duty of such person, firm, or corporation so buying any such poultry or
eggs from any such minor to take the name and age of each seller together
with a description of the article or articles offered for sale , and also
the date upon which it was offered and to record all of same in a book to
be kept by such person, firm, or corporation for that purpose, —
Sec . 2. It shall be unlawful for a minor-under the age of twenty one
years to give or furnish any such dealer a name other than his true and
correct name .
Sec . 3. A person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor ' and upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined in a sum not less than 125. 00 nor more than x200. 00.
Sec . 4. All Ordinafrces and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its passage/, approval, and publication.
