BE IT ORDAI?MD BY THR CITY COU"CIL OF FAY?TfEVILI^ , ARKW'SAS :
Sec . 1 . That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation en.-aCed in buying and selling secondhand goods or junk acting
either as principal or agent to purchase any secondhand goods , or junk of
any nature or description ti;hatsoever including dairy milk bottles, from
any minor under the age of twenty one years , without first having reported
such proposed purchase to the Chief of Police of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas. Provided further that it shall be thra duty of such person, firm,
or corporation so buying any such article to take the name and age of each
seller, together with a description of the article offered for sale , and
also the date upon which it was offered and to record all of the same in a
a book to be kept for that purpose .
Sec . 2 . It shall be ur4awful for any such minor to give or furnish
any such dealer any name other than his true and correct name .
Sec . 3. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the pro—
visions of this Ordinance shall be deomcd guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in any aum not less than Twenty Five
Dollars nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ,
Sec . 4. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage .
