Any person, who shall wear or carry in any manner v;hatever, as a weapon, any dirk or bowie knife or sword, or a spear in a cane , brass , or metal knucks , razor or any pistol of any ldrr. whatever, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor ; provided nothing in this Ordinance shall be so construed as to prohibit any person from carrying such pistols as are used in the Army or Navy of the United States when carried uncovered and in the hand. Provided, officers whose duties require them to Dake arrests , or to keep and ward prisoners , together with persons summoned by such officers to aid them in the discharge of. such duties, when actually engaged in such duties , are exempt from the provisions of this Ordinance. Provided further, nothing in this Ordinance shall be so construed as to prohibit any person from carrying any weapon when upon a journey or upon his premises . Sec . 2. my person who shall sell , uarter, or exchange otherwise dispose of, or in any manner furnish to any person, any dirk, or s or a sword or spear in a cane , brass or metal knucks, or any pistol of any kind whatever, except such as are used rakind nthe Ary o cNavy of the United States , and known as the navy pistols or any person who shall keep any such arms or cartridgos for sale shall be guilty of. a misdemeanor. Sec . 3. Any person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Fifty (v50. 00) dollars nor more than Two hundred ($200 . 00 ) dollars , or by imprisonment in the county jail of not less twain thirty ( 30 ) days nor more than . three ( 3 ) months , or by ' both fine and imprisonment. Sec , 4. That all ordinances or parts thereof in corulict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed and th._t this ordinance be in force and effect from and after its passage , approval , and publication.
