BE IT ORDAIMED BY THF. CITY COUNCIL OF FaYETTEVILLa?, ARKANSAS :
Sec . 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, persons , firm,
or corporation to erect or maintain any awning extending over any public side-
walk, the outer edge of which shall extend Yithin twenty four ( 24) inches of
arty electric light pole .
Sec . 2.. It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to serve or cause
to be served a written notice on any person, persons , firm , or corporation
who have erected or caused to be erected, maintained, or caused to be main-
tained any awning in violation of this ordinance, notifyinE such person,
persons, fir. .a, or corporc-.tion of such violation, and ordering same abated
within one week from the service of said notice .
Sec . 3. Any person, persons , firm, or corporation who shall fail or
refuse to comply with the provisions of this Ordinance within the time stated
therein shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof,
shall be fined in any sum not less than five dollars ("5 . 00 ) nor more than
fifteen dollars M5. 00) for each offense , and each day or part thereof that
such violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate offense .
Sec . ly. That this Ordinance be in force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication and all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be and the same axe hereby repealed.
