Sec. 1. That the office of City Inter Inspector is hereby created.

Sec . 2 . That upon the passage and approv2l of this ordinance the Igor
of this City shall by and with the advice and consent of the City Council
appoint a competent person to act as City Yeter Inspector, who shall execute
to the City of Fayetteville , Ark. , a bond 'in the sum of 0500. 00 for the faith-
ful performance of his duties and he shall hold his office fora period of one
year.
Sec. 3, When any citizen of Fayetteville shall become dissatisfied
with the registering of the meter through which gas , water, or electricity is
measured to such citizen or patron of any Etas, water, or electric plant, he
or she may notify said City Llater Inspector of such meter and if need be to
regulate same so that it will register correctly.
If such meter inspector shall find that ary electrical meter is register-
ing correctly or is registering less than it should be, he shall charge the
citizen or patron calling for such inspection a fee of 50 cents . If such meter
inspector shall find that any electric meter is registering more than it should
he shall charge the person., firm, or corporation timing such meter a fee , of 504.
If said meter inspector shall find that any water mstdr Is registering
correctly or is registering less than it should, he shall charge the citizen
or patron calling for such inspection a fee of 50O . If said motor inspector
shall findcthat any water meter is registering more than it should, he shall
charge d the person] firm, or corporation owning such water plant a fee of 504.
If said meter inspector shall find that any gas meter is registering cor-
rectly or is registering less than it should be, he shall charge the citizen
of patron calling for such inspection a fee of 504 . If said meter inspector
shall find that any gas mater is registering more than it should, he shal2
charge the person, firm, or corporation owning such meter a fee of 504.
The fees above provided for shall constitute the recompensation of the
City Voter Inspector and he shall draw no, salary from the City.
Such meter inspector shall' give • a mitten report of each inspection to
the person calling for such inspection and to the manager of the plant awning
the meter inspected.
All fees for inspection sh�ll be1dus and payable immediately upon the
completion of each inspecticm.
Sec. h. It shall be the duty of such meter inspector to make a quarterly
report to the City Council of all inspections made by him and such report shall
include the name of each person calling for an inspection, whether such meter
was registering too much or too little and the fees collected by him.
Sec. 5. The city meter inspector shall not be compelled to make an
inspection for any citizen or patron of any gas, water, or electric plant who

shall h&m failed or refused to pay for any previous inspection crhen such
citizen or patron is liable for such fee .
Sac. 6. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval and all ordinances 'or parts of ordinances
in conflict hersrith . aro hereby repealed.
