Section a . In cases of death from any contagious or infectious
disease , the same iaus 'L be reported to the city Health officer v.ithin six ( 6 )
hours after de« Ln.
Section 9. That it shall be the duty of every practicing physicizn
within the City of €_yetteville to report to the city health officer when
it is time to fnraiۥatc preiaises after the presence of infectious or con-
ta; ious diseases and said fwa;:ation shall be done by the city health officer,
provided that the actual cost of fauaigetion shall be paid by the occupant,
owner, leasee , or a,ent, of premises fund -aced, and no quarantine shall be
raised until such expense shall be paid, and in tine event that any person is
unable to pay for such fu:d_ation the serae shall be paid out of the general
fund of the city.
Section 10 . That whenever any fa*-u.ly or any member of a fannily within
t:>_is city shall be infected v:ith any colvta, ious or infectious disease , the
city health officer may declare quarantine against the house , buildinf•, and
predses odcupied by such family, by posting a notice v.ith the words asigmt-
inr the disease printed in large letters thereon, in a conspicuous place on
the premises . It shall be deemed a violation of this ordinance for any
person to tear down any signb thea rm.y be used or posted by the city health
officer to inform the :)ublic v:hcre any conta;-ious disoase may be located .
And after the posting of such notice all persons on said prc .iises .nhell remain
v.itiiin the; infected premises and no person shell rro upon the said ?remises under
such quarantine except by order of tive city health officer.
Section 11 . That the throwing of medicines , patent or othemise , in
pri ✓ate yards or private or public bai.ldin,_s or offices , in the City of
Itayetteville , as an advertisement or for a-ny other purpose is hereby declared
a nuisance .
Section 12 .
That no person family, or corporation shall hereafter keep or maintain
any poultry, fowls, chickens in houses , .:oo,;s or runs witidn a distance of
30 feet from any dwelling house or within 12 feet from any street fence line .

Section 9 . That to procure such permit, the applicant shall present
to the City Health Officer, written apilication and shall state therein
the none and business , the residence, address of applicant or applicants ,
the source or sources from which said applicants have obtained or will
obtain said milk; and the number of cows in the possession of each ap;)li-
cant; the avera c quantity disposed of by each applicant and the manner and
character of said distribution . Said application to be )resented to the
Jity :Icalth Officer upon written blanks provided for such purposes . Said
application sharll furthor state brand of business nose , if ate, under which
said ,:ilk is to be sold, inspected, or distributed.
Section 10. 'ivery si:a ( G ) months after tse issuance of the oer:ait
to sell milk, each person or persons, firm, or corporation shall make a
statement as provided for in the foroFoinE section, to the City Health
Officer, and shall have his oeraft renevaed . The fee of one dollar shall
be charged for the issuance of _.permits and renewals .
Section 11. That no person or persons , firm, or corporation .^hall sell
or expose for stile or delivery or distribute within the limits of the City
of Fayetteville, milk from any w. apon or vehicle shall have exposed on both
sides t}iereof, the permit nuabcr o£ the person or persons , or firm, or cor-
porations sollinE or offering for sale or delivering such milk. Such
permit number shall be painted on said v.agon or vehicle in numbers not less

Section 12 . No person shall bottle any milk upon any delivery vra�on
or ve' dele or at any other place than that of a milk house or dairy or other
buildinC where milk is regularly sold or stored , tho said bottles shall be
carefully sterilized before refilling, and then properly scaled. And,
further, that no person shall transfer any milk from one receptacle to
another upon any delivery ua; •on or other vehicle , or upon any alley or
street or thoroughfare, or shall any person remove from any dwellin,: in
which exists �.ny case of eonuaunicaule disease , any bottles or other receptables ,
which have been or are about to be used for containing or storinC milk except
by permission of the City Health Officer, or shall rdlk tickets be used more
than once under any circumstances .
Section 13. That cow stables shall be kept sufficiently ventilated and
clean, that the milk of no cows small be offered for sale that aro afflicted
with any disease , and all milk containinC clots of "blood or which shows any
other unusual character, shall be rejected. That no person sufferin; from

Section 18 . That it shall be unlawful for any person, persons or firm to
have or carry on any war= or vehicle upon which mills is m.-r==d carried or
stored, or from which milk is sold or delivered, as food for any hwman beim,,
any swill, garbage , or refuse , or any dec�AylnE , fermentinll, putrifyin; , unrthole-
some or filthy matter.
Section 19. That it shall be the duty of the City Health Oificer to
inspect dairies and other establishments from which milk is brought in to the
city, or from which milk is offered for sale , for the purpose of affecting a
strict and constant compliance with the provisions of this ordinance . Provided
that any fainly cow from which milk is supplied to the neighborhood shall be
subject to the same condition . (hmers of two such cows or less , are not be to
considered as mill: venders .
Section 20. That the said City Health Officer shall have full access to
all places where milk is stored or kept for sale , and to all wagons, railways
cars, or conveyances of every kind, used for the transportation of :•milk.
Section 21 . That the City Health Officer, or any member of the Health
Department shall have the right at any time to lake a sal-)le of mills or water
