AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE WEIGHING OF ICE SOLD OR
DELIVERED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS .
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayette_

ville , Arkansas
so . 1 . That it shall hereafter be unlawful for a rson , firm

or orporation to sell or deliver ice wit ' the corporate lim is of
the C ty of Fayetteville , Arkansa without first weighing is s0 sold
� om scale designated by tthh ity Council for such purpos said scales
to be inspec ed by tth: aity Weighmaster ; provide& that no person , firm,
`\ or corporation vering or selling - ice within the corporate limits
of the City of Fay tewille shall be required . to weigh ice so sold or
:delive ed unless the person or persons buying same shall first demand
t the same be weighed .
Sec . 2 . That it shall hereafter be required of each person , firm
64ua or corporation selling or delivering ice within the corporate limits
Q p of the City of Fayetteville , to provide suktable scales for the pur_
pose of weighing ice sold or delivered , as above set forth , said scales
to be inspected and approved by the City Weighmaster ,
Sec . 3 . That it shall be the duty of the Weighmaster to inspect
4. � all scales provided in section 2 of this ordinance at least ones in

also that he make to the City Council , at least once in each month ,
either in person or in writing a report of the condition of the scales
described in section 2 of this ordinance .
Sec . 4 . Thb-t—t ity Weighmaster shall receive as remuneration
for the execution of his duties as inythis- ordinance set forth such
compensation as may hereafter be determined upon by the City Council . r
Sec . 5 . That any person , firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor

and upon conviction thereof in the Police Court of the City of
Fayettevilke , shall be fined in any sum not less than $5 . 00 nor
more than $ 25 . 00 .
Sec . 6 . That all ord ances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are reby repealed and this ordinance
I shall take effect from and after the first of May , 1911 ,
