ORDINANCE NO . 286 .
ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,

WHEREAS , the majority in value of the property holders own_ I
ing property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in District
No : 1 , Center and School Street Improvement District ; organized for the
purpose of ,grading , rolling and macadamizing with stone and gravel ; Center
Street from the Public Square to School Street , and School Street from
Mountain Street to Dickson Street , have petitioned the Council of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , for the construction of said improvement , and
that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said
district according to the benefits received , and
WHEREAS , said benefits received by each and every block ,
lot and parcel of renal property situated in said 'District equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon ; and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of said improvement is $ 51000 . 00 . ,
THEREFORE , Be It Ordazhned by the City Council of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that said several block's , lots and parcels of

real property in said District be a-ssessed- aceording to the assessment
list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office
of the City Clerk , and that 20 per centum on each of said blocks , lots and
I
a-reels of land shall be
p paid annually on or before the first day of March
until the whole of said local assessment shallbe paid .
