AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEV1t.LE , ARKANSAS , INTO AN IM^
PROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVEMENG CERTAIN STREETS
THEREIN , DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF THE DISTRICT AND DEFNNING THE
BOUNDARIES THEREOF AND NAMING THE SAME :
WHEREAS , at a meeting of the City Council hf the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , held on the 22nd day of December , 1910 , a
petition signed by ten resident owners of real property , within the
district hereinafter described in Section One of this Ordinance ,
was presented to the Council asking that it take steps toward the
making of an improvement consisting of macadamizing with stone and
gravel described therein , of the following designated streets and
parts of streets , towit : _
Sohool Street from Mountain Street to Center Street ;
Center Street from Block Street West to School Street ; thence North
to Dickson Street ; and
WHEREAS , in said petition it was further prayed that
the Council lay off a stipulated portion of said streets into an im.
provement district for making said improvements ,
NOW THEREFORE , Be it ordained by the City Cancil of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas :
Section 1 . That the following lots , blocks , streets , alleys and
parcels of real estate in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , be and
the same are hereby laid off and declared to be an improvement district
within said City , towit : _
Beginning at the corner of Block and Center Streets And
including the South part of lots 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d , 7 , 8 , 9 , all in Block 17 ,
Also the North part of lots 1 , 15 , 147113012 , all in Block 26 , also the
South part of lots 8 , 7 , 605 , 4 , 3 , all in Block 18 , also North part of
kkmak lots 1 , 29314 , 5 , 6 , all in Block 25 , also the South part of lots
la and 2b in Block 19 , also the North part of lots 603 , 2 , 1 all in Block
241p all on Center Street , in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .

lots 2 and 1 in Block 20 , absto the West part of lots 6 , 5 , 4 , 3 , in Sub.

to Dickson Street , in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , all in the

Section 2 . That said Improvement District shall be known and des.
ignated as CENTER AND SCHOOL STREETS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE ,
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
Section 3 . That said District is laid off for the purpose of mac—
adamizing with stone and gravel according to the specifications that
may afterward be made in this ordinance or do any other ordinance
affecting this improvement district .
And such improvements shall be made in such manner and
to the extent hereinafter to be more fully designated and determined
by the majority in value of the owners of real property within said
District .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication .
Passed and approved this the 22nd day of Dec . 1910 ,
