AN ORDINANCE TO PROTECT FIRE HYDRANTS IN THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE? ARKANSAS ,
Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas
FG N That any person or persons other than the Superintendent
or his assistant , or some person authorized by the Superintendent , or
`members of the Eire Department , while in discharge of their duties ,
at fires r
, o testing house or for an
other
g y purpose pertaining to the

Fire Department , who shall open , close or molest any Fire Hydrant for
purpose of sprinkling streets or any purpose whatsoever shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemmanor .
Be it further or4ined by the City Council , that no
person or persons be allowed to open or close any Fire Hydrant with a
monkey wrench , chain wrench , pipe wrench or any other device other a
than those provided for such use and kept by the Superintendant of the
City Water Plant or the City Fire Department .
That any person, or persons found guilty of violating j
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not
exceeding twenty five dollars .
