An Ordinance authorizing the appointment of a Special Inspector
of Plumbing and Drain. Laving in the City of Fayetteville , and defending
theduties of the Street Commissioner as Inspector of the Sido-ralks .
Be Ir Ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkaksas .�
Seel . That City council shall appoint some competent person to be
a Special Inspector f Plumbing and Drain Laying, who shall hold the position
during the pleasure of t 'r. City Council or until a City Engineer shall
have been elected and entered upon duty.
Sec .2 . It shall be the duty of s h Special Inspector to carefully inspect
all house plumbing and connections an all Sewer connections and drain
laying to be put in within, the City 1 is and to enforce the provisions
of Ordinance No . 226 approved February , 24 1908 , in rospect thereto and
he shall do and perform all things required of the City Engineer by
Ordinance No 226 , entitled , " An Ordinance de ining rules and regulations
for plumbing and draining and the ventilationf buildings in the City of
Fayotteville , Arkansas , and resolution of Fobru ry, 1 , 1909 .
Sec . 3 . That as his compensation for such servi as the Special Inspector
shall be entitled to charge and receive the sour o� One dollar for each and
every inspection made by him, the same to be paid by the Plumber or Drain
Layer in charge of the work inspected .
Sec . 4. That the Street Commissioner shall conti�.ue to do and perform the
duties of Inspector of Side–walks as provided in
the Resolution of the City
Council ad-opted July , 14th , 1908, and in performance of such duty he shall
do and perform all things required of the City Engineer by Ordinance No. 2361
entitled , " An Ordinance to govern the construction of side —. kw and
curbing in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , approved June 12 , 1908.
Section 5 . That so much of the Resolution adopted July 14th, 1908, relative
to the inspection of plumbibg and drain laying as may be in conflict with

the provisions. of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed and /
this Ordinance shall take effect and be ' in force from and after its ub–��
lication .
