An Ordinance guarding against injuries which may result f
from Hydrophobia , or Rabies .
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas :
Sec . l . , For the purpose of preventipg injuries which may result
from hydrophobia or rabies , the Mayor , when in his
{ , q opinion it may be necessary for public safety, shall
issue his proclamation notifying the owners of dogs
fV to keep them on their premises , and any dog found at
large after the issue -o £ such proclamation shall be
killed unless he is muzzled , and the owner of such dog
t
failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction
shall be -fined in any sum not less than five nor more
V than Twenty— five Dollars .
Sec . 2 That this ordinance shall not be effective after the
first day of November of each year and that said
ordinance be in force from and after its publication .
