Ordinance No . 204 .
An ordinance granting the St . Louis and San Francisco railroad
Company a right to build a switch track along the East side of nest
Street , crossing Dickson and Spring streets .
Be it ordained by the city council of the city of
Fayetteville , Arkansas :
Section . l . That the St . louis and San Francisco Railroad Company
is hereby given and granted permission to build , maintain and operate
a switch track , commemcing on its present East track at or near the
North line of Dickson street , thence in a Southeasterly direction ,
diagonally across West street , to a point 100 feet South of the South
line of Dickson street ; thence continuing in a Southernly direction
along the East twelve feet of West street ( provided said West street

is 47 feet wide . ) for a distance of about two hundred feet , thence
continuing in a Southerly direction along the East fifteen feet of
West street to North line of Spring street , thence across Spring street ,
provided present track now occupying West street be shifted so that
the center of same shall be 12 feet East of the west line of West street

and that the two tracks in West street be so constructed that there shall
be a space of as much as 17 feet between the cars when standing on said
tracks , except where tracks cross West street diagonally near the South
line of Dickson street .
Section . . . 2 . The said Railroad Company in consideration of the right of
way agrees and is hereby required to plan, between the rails and to the
ends of the ties at all street intersections and for a distance of 150
feet South of the South line of Dickson street , and the said -Railroad
Company is to construct and maintain a good and sufficient macadimized
street between the tracks as laid in West street .
Section . 3 . That ordinance number 150 and all other ordinances in
conflict herewith , be and the same are hereby repealed and this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
