An ordinance laying off the whole of the City of Fayetteville , Ark-
ansas , into an improvement district , designating the number , defin-
ing the boundaries thereof and naming the same .
Whereas at a meeting of the City council held on the 26th
day of September, 1906 , a petition signed by the resident real prop-
erty owners within the district to be affeoted , was submitted to
the council 4sking that the whole pf the City of Fayetteville , Ark-
ansas be laid,. off into am improven- ent district , and asking that said
district be deniminated: Water Improvement district number 1 , and
whereas it was petitioned in said petion that the council take all
necessary steps toward the completion of such improvement district ,
now therefore ;
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Section 1 . That the whole of the City of Fayetteville ,
which is to say , every lot , block or parcel of land lying and being
situated within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville ,
be and the same is hereby declared to be an improvement distriot
within said city .
Section 2 . That said district shall hereafter be
known and designated as Water Improvement District No . 1 , of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Section 3 . That said district is laid off for the pur-
pose of puohasing the present water works system and of supplying
the streets , lanes , alleys and public places of the said City with
water , and of extending , operating , eonstructibg and maintaining , a
system of water works for said City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Section 4 . That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed
and that this ordinance take effect and be in force from and after
its passage. and publication .
