An ordinance amending section 5 of ordinance 187 ,
entitled an ordinance prescribing and regulating
licenses for certain privaleges in the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Be it ordained by the City council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Section 1 . That so much of section 5 of ordinance
number 187 , entitled an ordinance prescribing and
regulating licenses for certain privaleEes in the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , as fixes the tax and license upon
the business of a broker in the following language , viz : -
whoever shall in this Cit.v keep any office or place for
engaging or carrying on the business of a broker for the
buying or selling of any cotton , grain , bonds , securities ,
stock or shares of stock for others shall pay as a tax
and license therefor the sum of' }?100 . 00 per annum , shall
be amended to read as folloWs : - Whoever• shall in this
City keep any office or glace for engaging in or carrying
on the business of a broker for he buting or selling of any
cotton , grain , bonds , securities , stock or shares of stock
for others shall pay a tax and license therefor the sum of
sixty dollars per annum .
Section 2 . That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force fro;,ia nd after its passage and publication .
