AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR BETTER SANITATIC: 1 OI' POULTRY
SHIPPING AND DRESSING PLANTS IN TIi :: CIT"i OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
Be it ordained by the council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
Section 1 . It shall be the duty of all parties ,
firms or corporations engaged in the business of handling
or shipping either live or dressed poultry or eggs within
J the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville , to clean
from the pens or cages in which such poultry is kept
preparitory to sale or slaughter or shipment , and from such
dressing plants and to remove from within the corporate limits
of the City of Fayetteville , all excrement , offal or other
V filth that may collect in such cages or pens or dressing
f plants .
That such cages or pens and dressing plants shall be
cleaned and the filth removed from he City ,
Section 2 . That when conditions of weathor or number
of fowls confined , shall make it necessary or advisable ,
the sanitary officer shall order the pens and cages or dressing
, . • plants cleaned as often as may be necessary to keep such
a pens in a sanitary condition .
Section 3 , That when any party , . f'irm or corporation
\ or the agent of any party , firm or corporation who shall
?� fail or refuse to comply with the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a miedemeanor and upon conviction
hall be fined in any sum not less than 5j5 . 00 nor more than
10 . 00 for each offense ,
This ordinance to be in force and effect from and after
its passage and publication .
