College Avenue in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville
Arkansas .
Section 1 . That all persons residing within the limits of
improvement district number one ( 1 ) of said City , between the ages
of eighteen ( 18 ) and forty - five ( 45 ) years of age , be and they are re -
quired to perform labor upon College Avenue in said district for the
same length of time in each year as other persons subject to street
duty as required to work , provided that any person subject to work
on said street may in lieu of work for any year , pay into the City
treasury $5 . 00 per annum .
Section 2 . All money paid into the City treasury in persuance
of section 1 of this ordinance shall , by the City treasurer be kept
separate from other funds in his hands and shall be devoted exclusively
to the repairing, improving and maintaining, College Avenue within
said improvement district and shall be known and designated as
College Avenue fund .
Section 3 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage .
