Fayetteville to issue a bond to complete the settlement with the State under
the act of the general. assembly approved May , 23d . 1901s
Whereas the refunding_ bonds issued by the City of Fayetteville
under ordinance number 121 , approved June 23d , 1902 , and the cash in the
hands of the City Troasurer is not sufficient to redeem the bonds of the
City held by the state in trust for the University of Arkansas in accordance
with the act of the General Assembly , approved May , 23d , 1901
Therefore in order to complete the settlement authorized by that
act and the said ordinance ,
Be it ordained by the City council of the City of Fayetteville
Arkansas : .
Section i . That the !Sayer and Recorder are hereby authorized
and empouored to issue and cause to be delivered to the treasurer of
State , a bond of the City to the State of Arkansas in the sum of five
r. .
Hundred dollars , in the form , on the torms and conditions and for the
purpose proscribed by the. said ordinance number 121 , approved June 23d
1909 , providinC for a settlement betv:een the City and the State of Arkansas .
Section: 2 . That this ordinance shall be in force from and after
its passa€e .
